Heart of the Hills Vacation Homes, LLC  has been in business since 1995. The owners, Kim and Marcia Benning, were one of a handful of pioneers in the vacation home rental business and have been instrumental in shaping the vacation rental industry here in the Black Hills.  They manage properties, most within a 5-mile radius of Hill City.  Each individual rental is privately owned, and Heart of the Hills works on the behalf of the owner to rent and manage their properties.  They have a stellar history of happy guests and happy rental owners.  Kim and Marcia pride themselves in providing lodging that is comfortable, clean, and easily accessible, making each property truly your ‘home away from home’ while on vacation.  

 

All of our vacation homes are conveniently and centrally located in the Black Hills, just minutes from all the major attractions including Mt. Rushmore, Crazy Horse Mountain, Bear Country USA, Reptile Gardens, and Custer State Park. Are fishing and boating your thing? We are also a short drive to beautiful Lake Pactola, Lake Sylvan, Sheridan Lake, and Legion and Stockade Lakes. If hiking is your thing, many of our vacation homes are less than 10 miles from Black Elk Peak and Sunday Gulch trailheads!  For the ATV enthusiasts, many of our cabins have easy access to 650 miles of approved trails.  And let’s not forget the wine connoisseurs!  Hill City proudly boasts great wineries all within minutes of our vacation rentals. Our cabins are all family friendly and the perfect respite after a long day’s touring.
