Q. How can I be guaranteed my reservation is secure?
A
. When deposits are charged to you, the deposit is kept in a trust fund until the time of your stay, when payments are disbursed to owners. We will mail or e-mail confirmations when deposits are paid. We accept Visa, Mastercard and Discover credit cards. Personal checks are accepted if received within five working days of making the reservation (but a credit card is required to hold the reservation.) We will waive the 3% processing fee if all payments are made by check, money order, cash or traveler’s checks.


Q. Do I have to bring my own linens?
A. All towels, bed linens & kitchen linens are provided.

Q. Are there dishes in the kitchens?
A. All units are fully furnished with dishes, silverware, basic pots and pans, coffee makers, toasters and microwaves. Although some guests leave condiments like salt, pepper, sugar and spices, we do not guarantee any food items to be in the kitchens. You will also need to supply your own foil, plastic wrap or ziploc bags.

Q. What else is provided in the rentals?
A. A starter supply of paper towels, toilet paper, and Kleenex is provided.
Bar soap and dish detergent is also furnished.
We do not provide personal products like hair care products but each rental does have at least one blow dryer.

Q. What do we need to bring?
A. Guests provide all food items and laundry soap for their personal use of the washer and dryer.

Q. Can we build a wood fire pit at the cabin?
A. No. All of our units are in the Black Hills National Forest Fire Protection District where open wood burning fires are prohibited, except in licensed campgrounds. Fireworks are also prohibited. Fines for not obeying this law can exceed thousands of dollars. PLEASE PROTECT OUR FOREST AND HOMES. When smoking outdoors, be sure to properly dispose of your cigarettes in a metal container.

Q. Do you rent to pets?
A.  Please make other arrangements for your pets. We currently have no rentals that allow pets.

Q. I may have more people join us during our stay at the cabin. Is that OK?
A. The numbers of people at the cabin may not exceed our advertised occupancy, even for day time visiting. Additionally, no extra persons may camp in tents or campers on these private properties. We are not licensed for tenting or RVs. This is in accordance to the owners wishes AND codified Hill City ordinances.
